I would just like to give a shout out to anyone and everyone who is doin their own thing. Who is working and keeping the money rolling in. Not a lot of it, but a steady paycheck. To those who get up every morning and make their bed. Those who are in school trying to further their education, even though finals week is the worst week ever (you'll get through it). And all those teachers out there, thank you for all you do.
For those who are in relationships and making them work, it's hard, but you're doing it. And for those who are living the single life and appreciating themselves for now--you WILL find somebody one day. For those who are getting married--what an exciting time. It will go by fast, so cherish every moment. And for those who never want to hear about weddings or babies again. For all the young moms out there who have no idea what they are doing, but you are DOING it!!!!! That's awesome, congrats.
For all those in recovery, no matter what you are recovering from. Alcohol, heroin. Cigarettes, domestic violence. A bad streak of terrible self confidence. If you are sober, and you are living your life every day trying to make it by in an honest way, you should be SO PROUD of yourself. You on your WORST day sober is better than you on your best day wasted. Think about that.
I know it's hard. Man, is it hard. But keep friends and family close, keep the memories of the past in your heart, and use that as motivation to move yourself forward. Take one, day, at, a, time.
